Frontline - The Tankman - The Struggle to Control Information

Bet you didn't know Yahoo, Cisco, Google, and Microsoft are responsible for helping the Chinese government censor what their citizens are able to access on the internet...This is an amazing program (first about the events of May 1989 in Tienamen Square) , but more importantly the involvement of U.S. firms in media censorsip in China. Cisco is the biggest player. It's sickening!

Should U.S. companies be allowed to profit from enabling in other countries what would be illegal in the U.S.?

  1. The US and US based companies have been profiting off of schemes like this for years. The problem is that these companies are signing campaign checks and no one is willing to lose face with their campaign supporters.
